About Us
For more than 30 years, Health Alliance Medical Plans has offered quality health care coverage. Founded by physicians in 1980, we are the largest managed care organization based in downstate Illinois. Our corporate office is in Urbana, IL. Health Alliance Midwest serves our Iowa members.

Our commercial HMO/POS and Medicare HMO accreditation is excellent. Our commercial PPO and Medicare PPO accreditation is full. Excellent accreditation is only awarded to those plans that meet or exceed NCQA's rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement and have Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) results in the highest range of national performance.
